Brands do their part for World Mental Health Day

For World Mental Health Day, brands engage in conversations around Mental Health in their own way. Some make do with posts supporting awareness and education about mental health while others go the extra mile to create safe spaces for mentally ill people.

Fortis Healthcare #Music4MentalHealth

The department of Mental Health & Behavioural Sciences, Fortis Healthcare joined hands with Tips Industries Limited to launch a new online initiative #Music4MentalHealth. The initiative aims to educate people about the positive impact of music on the mental health well-being. The initiative has also launched a “Music 4 Mental Health” workshop and certificate course especially curated for health practitioners across India.

Facebook Community Leadership Circles and Out A Loud

In order to commemorate World Mental Health Day, Facebook Community Leadership Circles and Out A Loud, organised a panel discussion with imminent public figures and addressed the theme of suicide prevention, deliberating over stress management for millennials. Actor Karan Singh Grover was the chief guest while the panelists included the likes of Neha Kare, RJ Archana Pania, Namrata Jain, Dr Mohit Shah and Dr Sitesh Roy.

Facebook ‘Let’s Talk’

In honor of World Mental Health Day, and to help people have important conversations around mental health, Facebook is releasing a “Let’s Talk” Stories filter on Facebook and Messenger. Developed with input from the World Health Organization (WHO), the filter acts as an invitation for friends who might be struggling to reach out for support through Messenger.
