Breaking Now : Danish Khan's return to Sony, leads to restructuring

Sony Entertainment Television, which has been going through a rough patch for some time now, is getting one of its old hands back. Danish Khan who went on to pursue programming at STAR India for its leading Hindi general entertainment channel STAR Plus, is coming back to lead Sony.

Although his role in the organization is still not clear but this can be considered as an important move by the broadcaster to bring in changes. Sources tell us that with Khan’s joining, Nachiket Pantvaidya and Ajay Bhalwankar will also be moving into newer roles.

In his previous associations, Khan has worked with Multi Screen Media, where he led the marketing function for its flagship GEC, Sony Entertainment Television. Before joining MSM, Khan was senior manager, strategic media planning at Mediacom India.

Khan comes with more than 10 years of experience in advertising and broadcasting, he joined MSM's sports and movie channel Max in 2002 and moved on to become senior vice-president and head of marketing for Sony Entertainment in 2008.
