Brides Today - the luxury wedding magazine form India Today Group

India Today Group, India’s premier media conglomerate with  over 42 years of media heritage, announced new beginnings with Brides Today, a luxury wedding magazine, which is an extension of the group’s monopoly over the couture wedding space. The publication is a one-stop shop for brides, grooms, and their families to plan and execute luxe weddings. It offers the same high-end look and feel that readers and brands have come to love over the years with the group’s previous wedding publication.

Brides Today will publish 10 issues per year, targeting not only the bride and groom, but the entire bridal brigade and all high-life enthusiasts. The content boasts of luxury weddings, opulent bridal-wear and international lifestyle along with the latest trends in destination events, honeymoon hotspots, spectacular soirées, and more. It promises to make nuptial journeys a fairytale for every bride and groom to-be, as well as all attendees, scoping everything from dream dresses to diamonds, haute couture to décor.

Each of the 10 issues will have a central wedding theme, which will bind all the sections together. Depending on the theme of a particular issue, all the sections from fashion to wedding planning, from beauty to jewellery, will talk about bridal trends and tips related to executing that theme. In a nutshell, it will be an A-Z guide on ‘one' particular wedding theme.

The first issue was launched on Feb 10th on newsstands across India with celebrations galore. A flash mob with dancers breaking into fun steps on wedding songs in TGIP Mall, Noida and Ambience Mall, Gurgaon on Saturday, Feb 10th was quite a surprise for many weekend shoppers, they were introduced to the new offering of Brides Today through contests and conversations with popular city RJs who were part of this promotion. Social media was flooded with the news and the cover with Sonam Kapoor in an Anamika Khanna outfit and that in a Ralph & Russo were much appreciated.

Brides Today encompasses a host of topics and debates relevant to brides, grooms, and their families today. Directed at India’s rapidly growing luxury wedding market, the magazine provides brands with the right platform to connect and reach out to their audiences. With the backing of a prestigious media organisation like the India Today Group, Brides Today will remain true to ITG’s ethos and commitment to quality,” says Karen Wilson Kumar, the publisher of the magazine.
The magazine is an eclectic mix of modernity and tradition. All in all, the publication has a celebratory vibe to it, while catering to the booming bridal market in the country.
