Cadillac shortlists 6 agencies for its creative mandate

General Motors-owned, Cadillac, has shortlisted its list of creative agencies from 15 to now six. The selected agencies are Publicis, Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Omnicom Group's DDB, Interpublic Group unit's Gotham and The Martin Agency. There is also an independent player, McKinney, that is based out of Durham, N.C.

The shortlisted agencies are going to connect with Cadillac's management in two weeks. After the interaction with the agencies, Cadillac is expected to announce the final three shops. The three selected will then battle against each other for the account and the final presentations will happen in January.

Modernista! ' the agency currently handling creative duties for Cadillac ' has decided not to defend the account. Ark Advisors are managing the search for Cadillac.

Cadillac is believed to have spent nearly $240 million dollars last year towards media activities out of which about $80 million was spent in the first eight months of 2008. The figures stated here do not include the company's online spending.
