Campus Shoes ropes in Ogilvy as its official branding & ad agency

Following a multi-agency pitch, sports shoe brand Campus Shoes has selected Ogilvy India as its official advertisement and branding partner. The on-boarding of Ogilvy as the branding and advertisement partner is in lines with Campus’ evolving avatar in the marketplace in the last few months as a youthful, performance-oriented brand.

Speaking on the development, Nikhil Agarwal, MD, Campus Shoes, said, “In recent times, Campus has embarked on a journey to refurbish our image as a modern, youth-oriented brand with an exemplary commitment towards quality. It is in view of this that we recently launched the Camptech product range, which encourages performance and is a perfect fit for the active lifestyle of young India. We are sure that our new partnership with Ogilvy will help us in creating and disseminating the relevant messages, and in stepping towards the next level of excellence in terms of branding innovation.”

Kapil Arora, President, Ogilvy Group of Companies, North, added here, “Ogilvy India is excited and happy to become associated with one of the fastest growing and coveted brands, which has carved a niche in the Indian footwear market with its superior sense of style and affordable product line. We are looking forward to some outstanding work for Campus, in alignment with the company’s creative vision for fashion-forwardness and brand consolidation.”

With an aim to stand out as a brand of choice in the domestic and international markets, Campus Shoes had undergone a major brand repositioning drive last year (with a new logo, renewed ideology for consumer-connect, and emphasis on progressive designs); the company had also come up with its exclusive “Camptech” technology-based shoes made using superior and breathable fabric, and having reduced bending resistance and more slip resistance for enhanced performance.
