Cannes: 16 shortlists for India in Direct, Product Design, Media, PR, Social & Influencer
Day 3 of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2018 has seen shortlists being announced for 7 categories – Creative Data, Direct, Media, PR, Social & Influencer, Film, and Product Design. Of these, Indian agencies have secured 16 shortlists in the Direct, Product Design, Media, PR and Social & Influencer categories.
In PR Lions, Indian agencies have secured 6 shortlists. Two campaigns of Ogilvy India have been shortlisted – Haath Se Baat (Talk to your germs) done for Savlon and #WillDriveYouHome campaign done for ICICI Lombard. The Comparison Adds Pressure campaign done for PepsiCo’s brand Mirinda has fetched BBDO India a shortlist. McCann India’s campaign, titled The Noon Assembly, done for Kwality Milk has also been shortlisted. WATConsult has secured a shortlist for the #PowerlessQueen campaign done for Project Nanhi Kalo. The Sindoor Khela - No Conditions Apply campaign done for The Times of India has fetched FCB India a shortlist.
FCB India’s The Sindoor Khela - No Conditions Apply campaign done for The Times of India has also secured 2 shortlists in Direct Lions. Ogilvy India has also secured a shortlist in this category for its Vodafone Sakhi campaign done for Vodafone India.
In Product Design Lions, Grand Prix winning campaign, Blink to Speak, done for Asha Ek Hope Foundation by TBWAIndia, has been shortlisted. Ogilvy India has bagged a shortlist for its Savlon ID Guard initiative undertaken for ITC’s brand Savlon Handwash. Reliance Jio Infocomm’s campaign, titled Passport to Republic of Digital India, done for Jio Phone has also been shortlisted in this category.
In Media Lions, Mediacom India has secured a shortlist for the Gillette Bachelors of Shaving campaign done for P&G India. Lodestar UM has also bagged a shortlist for the Sindoor Khela - No Conditions Apply campaign done for The Times of India.
In its debut year, the Social & Influencer Lions category has seen 2 shortlisted entries from India – Sindoor Khela - No Conditions Apply campaign done by FCB India for The Times of India, and the Suede Gully campaign done by DDB Mudra for Puma Suede Classic Shoes.
