Cannes 2015-O&M and Medulla win Lions Health Award

O&M and Medulla were the only two agencies who have won the award in the Lions Health category. There have been 18 entries that have been shortlisted in the Press category from Grey, McCann, Cheil, Contract, Taproot Dentsu. In the Mobile category there has not been a single entry from India that has been shortlisted for the award.

Ogilvy and Mather and Medulla Communications Mumbai won the Lions Health award in the Pharma Category of the 86 Lions given away for creative excellence in pharma, healthcare and wellness-related communication at the International Festival of Creativity 2015.

While O&M won a Silver medal for its Giant Footprints campaign done for Sabin Vaccine Institute under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The Campaign created by the agency was done in a simple yet carrying a very powerful message titled ‘Hathipaon Mukt Bharat’ wanting to make India Filaria free.

Medulla Communications Mumbai won the bronze medal for its Spinning Living Room print campaign for Johnson & Johnson. The production House of the agency is Cocktail Art Co.

Both the Lions won by India falls under the Pharma sub-category. It could not get any medal in the Health and wellness sub-category.

Indian Agencies secured 18 shortlists in the press category. McCann Worldgroup India Mumbai, Cheil India Gurgaon, Grey Worldwide India Mumbai, Contract Advertising India Mumbai and Taproot Dentsu Mumbai were the agencies that had been shortlisted in the Press Lions Category.  McCann Worldgroup India and Grey Worldwide India had five entries each.

The ads titled French horn, Fugelhorn and Saxophon for Dabur's Gastrina, and two ads titled Puddle and Basement for Essel Group's Dish TV were the neteries that were shortlisted from McCann.

Grey's shortlisted entries include three ads for DHL Express Courier Services (DHL Hands - Ripped, Cutter and Scissors) and two ads for Duracell Batteries (Positive & Negative Color Code - Musical Monkey and Karaoke Mic).

Cheil India Gurgaon, Contract Advertising India Mumbai have three entries each that are shortlisted. While Taproot Dentsu Mumbai has two entries that are shortlisted, includes two ads (titled the Pimp and Railway Contractor) for Bennett Coleman's Mumbai Mirror.

Cheil India Gurgaon shortlisted entries include three ads (titled Housewife, Office Executive and Teacher) for Samsung India Electronics' Mobile Phone SOS Feature.

Three ads titled ATSS CCTV Bank, ATSS CCTV Parking Lot and ATSS CCTV Office for ATSS Security Solutions Provider were the three entries that are shortlisted from Contract Advertising India Mumbai.

Since Mobile has been the new market that has emerged in India and is known to replace digital in the coming future. So it was expected for India to be shortlisted in the Mobile Lions but there has been not a single entry shortlisted in the mobile category.
