Cannes Lions 2012: India bags One Silver and Three Bronze in Press!

The winners of Press Lions were announced yesterday at Cannes International Festival of Creativity. After winning a silver lion in Media Lions, Leo Burnett has managed to acquire another silver lion in the Press Lions category. The agency won the metal for its Bajaj Exhaust campaign. Leo Burnett had eight shortlists for the same campaign.

Ogilvy and Mather won two bronze lions. The agency won a bronze for its entries titled” Barbed Wire, Nails, Electric Shock’ for Perfetti Van Melle’s Mentos Sour Marbles. Its second win was for the entry titled ‘Refrigerator, Drawers, Sofa’ for Mattel Toys. Ogilvy had bagged a silver lion last year too for its entry for Mentos Sour Marbles.

BBDO India also bagged a bronze lion for its White Collar Hippies campaign.

Surprisingly, DDB Mudra which had the highest number of nominations in the category could not convert any into a lion.
