Celebrating 1000 episodes of Ke Apon Ke Por

Star Jalsha has been a pioneer for progressive storytelling on Bengali television for over a decade. It has always believed in creating and showcasing iconic characters and content which is both thought provoking and path breaking. The channel’s approach towards its trendsetting ideas has always been a game changer. True to its theme of Chalo Paltai, the channel has introduced empowering characters who exude confidence, ambition and are inspirational to our viewers.

Ke Apon Ke Por and the journey of Joba is one such example of Jalsha’s exemplary storytelling power.

The show focuses on the plight of Joba who, under unforeseen circumstances, gets married into the Sengupta family, where she used to work as the maid. Over the years, Ke Apon Ke Por has explored Joba’s life and her pursuit to ensure happiness for her family. With her husband, Param by her side, Ke Apon ke Por has shown Joba’s inspirational journey from a small-town girl to that of a lawyer. Param encouraged Joba to complete her studies as well as earn a law degree from a noted university, thereby fulfilling her dream of becoming an independent private-practicing lawyer.

Currently she is going through a unique phase in her life. As Param and Joba celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary, the celebration is bitter sweet due to Joba being pregnant, much to the embarrassment of her grown up kids and extended family.

Launched on 27th July 2016, Ke Apon Ke Por believes in portraying progressive characters that help each other fulfill their dreams. Joba as a character has ruled the charts for many weeks and has transcended all boundaries of a progressive woman that millions of our viewers look up to.

The show has managed to win the hearts of the audience of Bengal for near about 3 years now. Produced by Boyhood Productions, this show has made a mark in the Bengali GEC by completing 1000 episodes, this May. Currently the longest running show on Star Jalsha, this show has always striven to present a bouquet of emotions for its viewers. Pallavi Sharma and Biswajit Ghosh as Joba and Param have instilled the values of tenacity and zeal, which have resonated with the audience on the small screen.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sagnik Ghosh, EVP & Channel Head, Star Jalsha & Jalsha Movies said, “Joba stands as a symbol of perseverance and confidence. In this ever-changing world, she stands as a torchbearer of righteousness.  We are overwhelmed by the love and support Ke AponKe Por has received over all these years and we hope to cross many more milestones like this in the future.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Susanta Das, the Producer cum Director of the show KAKP said: “It is a remarkable and overwhelming moment for a tele serial to reach this benchmark. It is a matter of immense pride for us that KeAponKe Por has completed 1000 successful episodes of telecast, a feat which would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the actors and actresses, technicians, channel representatives and several other people associated with this show.  In its three years journey, the show and its characters have received immense love and support from the viewers. They have embarked on this journey with Param and Jaba, as if it were their own. They have laughed and cried with them and witnessed their life's ups and downs. For the past 3 years, television evenings were dedicated to Joba and her path to empowerment, her fight for right and wrong and her tryst with happiness. Her journey was the viewer's journey. We hope that the audience keep supporting and loving KeAponKe Por as they have done for the past 3 years. That is our only trophy and our only prize."

Ke Apon Ke Por is currently on air every day at 7.30 pm only on Star Jalsha.
