Cheil Worldwide appoints Shiv Sethuraman

Cheil Worldwide announced the appointment of Shiv Sethuraman as its group president, South West (SW) Asia effective immediately. To strengthen Cheil’s growing position in the region, Shiv will be based in Gurgaon NCR and will oversee day – to - day operations whilst playing a pivotal role in driving new business growth and strategies.

The senior appointment represents the company’s direction and focus in South West Asia and its objective to grow the agency by developing both Samsung and local brands. “Cheil is one of the fastest growing agencies in India and we are confident that Shiv is the right person to lead the company forward” said John Koo, president and head of regional HQ, Cheil Worldwide SW Asia. “Shiv brings extensive experience and has proven leadership to drive strategic growth and deliver results. We believe his passion for creativity, technology and people can be leveraged across the company and that, it will ensure, Cheil continues to have a positive impact on its clients and their brands.” he added.

In a career spanning two decades, Shiv Sethuraman has worked across countries and agency networks on brands like Nissan, Adidas, Cadbury, Castrol, Unilever, Shell, Louis Vuitton, Coca-Cola Europe, Europcar, IBM, Unilever and Nestle among others. Prior to his move to head TBWA India in 2008, he was Managing Director of Ogilvy & Mather, Paris.
