Chingles kicks off fun filled multiple city prank activity

Dharampal Satyapal (DS) Group rapidly growing multi-diversified conglomerate, once again thrilled consumers with Chingles pranks. On this April Fool’s Day, DS Group has kicked off Integrated Prank Activity including Cinema screening, On-ground product sampling and Digital activation through a facebook contest.

DS Group has started ‘The Greatest Googlee’ contest on facebook, where users can share their fun moments on April Fool’s Day. The ideas can be shared through comments on facebook post. These ideas/pranks will be judged by Lee Brothers and the best prank will get the user tag of ‘The Greatest Googlee’. The last date for sharing ideas and comments is 7th April, 2013.

The Group had also run a prank activity in all PVR and Big Cinemas in select cities on 30th & 31st March, 2013. In PVR Cinemas, just before the starting of the movie, a video was played. Video stated, “Due to technical failure, we will have to stop film screening. We regret the inconvenience caused.” When the audience was about to leave, again the video stated, “Arre Kahan ja rehe hain aap, April Fool Banaya.” In Big Cinemas, same activity was run after the intermission and advertisement of all other brands. Selected cities for this activity were Mumbai, Delhi & NCR, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune, Surat, Kanpur, Lucknow and Chandigarh.

This was followed by the product sampling at the exit point of Cinema halls. Different flavors of Chingles sachets were also distributed to the viewers. Chingles is positioned as an antidote to seriousness and what better than an April Fool’s day to once again fill consumers’ life with fun. Chingles campaigns are always focused on breaking the monotony of consumers’ daily routine and infuse a little laughter and lightheartedness with some harmless pranks. The brand is looking forward keeping up the same momentum in the future too!
