Cleartrip appoints Divya Kumar as Director- Public Relations

Divya Kumar, who was formerly with AirAsia India, has joined Cleartrip, India’s fastest growing online travel platform.

As Director - Public Relations, Divya will lead and manage Consumer PR, Corporate Communications, Trade Communications, and Tech. Divya and her team will play a key role in setting up the PR strategy for Cleartrip’s growth journey.

Divya started her career with Ndtv HINDU in Chennai and then spent 4 years with Perfect Relations Private Limited. Her most recent stint was with AirAsia (India) Limited where she spent 6 and a half years leading Corporation Communications and Sustainability.

Crisis Response has been a regular affair in her previous roles, managing crises with stakeholders such as media, customers, employees and shareholders. Divya brings to the table, rich experience in maneuvering corporate and consumer crises.

Divya has keenly been tracking the travel and hospitality industry over the last 9 years and believes that tech will be a game changer in the travel & tourism industry.

Throughout her career spanning over 11 years, Divya has worked closely with the senior leadership team as a strategic advisor providing in-depth expertise in change management, crisis response, maneuvering corporate and consumer crises. 

Speaking about the new opportunity, Divya said, “Cleartrip is a front runner in bringing a holistic technology driven travel experience to everyone. I will work on communicating this to the larger world which will eventually position Cleartrip as the most preferred OTA in the country. Travel and hospitality industry had its highs and lows during the pandemic. The pent up demand will lead to a dramatic shift in travel over the next two to three years - it will shape how the overall industry progresses in the near term.
