Club Mahindra launches Teddy Travelogues with Tisca Chopra

In a recent town event, Club Mahindra launched Teddy Travelgoues, which is India's first crowd-sourced travel e-zine for children written by children. The organization plans to come with new e-zine's every quarter and are available for readership by all at  The first issue was launched today with the presence of actor, Tisca Chopra along with Arun Nanda, Chairman Mahindra Holidays, Deepali Naair, CMO, MHRIL and the winner "Siri Parashar" who had the best brownie story in the Travelogue.

The whole journey began about 7-8 months back with the concept of doing something for children in the last months of the year. With Childrens Day and Chirstmas being most celebrated among the kids, the organization thought of conducting the event in this month. 

A very novel idea that came from Deepali Naair's team was much appreciated my Mr. Nanda. He did not want to take away any credit from the efforts that were put by his team. It was indeed very humble of him when he said that.

Club Mahindra Teddy Travelogue invited entries from children across the country in eight categories – My Family Holiday, Holiday Stories, My Favorite Travel Companion, Young Traveler, The Rhyme Journey, Why Travel?, Holidoodle and Delicious Diary. Children from all over India shared their holiday stories, paintings, videos, photos, poems, holiday doodles and food related stories to be published in this unique e-zine.

The entries were shortlisted and judged by an eminent panel comprising renowned children’s author Ms. Neeru Nanda, popular TV actor Shakti Arora of ‘Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi” fame on Colors, Tamil actor Mr. Mathivanan Rajendran, celebrated photographer Radhakrishnan Chakyat and education leader Miss Mehar Zariwala. The winners were notified through direct communication and the prizes have been sent to their respective locations. Mumbai winner Ms. Siri Parashar, a bright seven year old travel enthusiast from Thane was also present at the event to launch Teddy Travelogues.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Arun Nanda, Chairman, MHRIL, said, “Children love to travel and experience new things. At Club Mahindra, we aim to make this into an enriching experience by creating special moments for them at our resorts. Club Mahindra Teddy Travelogues will help us in capturing these special moments and sharing them with the rest of the world.”

Adgully had a quick talk with Ms. Deepali Naair, CMO, MHRIL on the launch of this event and their future marketing initiatives. Speaking on the launch of Teddy Travelogues Naair said, “Putting together this e-zine has been a great journey for the Club Mahindra team and we want to thank all children for sharing their special moments with us. Through this industry first initiative we aim to forge a life-long relationship with our young travellers and continue to create magical moments for them.”

With a successful event, the organization also has some exciting initiatives which will materialize next year. Commenting on the year gone by, Naair told us, "The year has been really good. There have been various marketing initiatives. We've had a very good success in our digital initiatives. In fact the marketing team is basking in the glory of all digital world and other lovely initiatives that we have had. On the business side too things have started looking up in line to what is happening in the economy."

While this year has been fabulous, Club Mahindra is set to get a warm welcome from 2015. Sharing insights on the plans next year Naair said, "Till march 2015 we will do what have planned for the last financial year. We're going to be looking at completely new digital presence in the coming year."

On a concluding note Naair tells us trends for the next year. She said, "There will be a lot more trends in terms of video video and visual content rather than written content from the publishers perspective from people's perspective.
