Co-founder and the man behind the idea of Blyk bids adieu to the company

Antti Æhrling the co-founder and man behind the idea of Blyk mobile messaging media has decided to quit the company.

In a statement to the media Æhrling says "My time in Blyk has been very successful and exciting, but now is the right time for me to move on. I am very privileged to have had the opportunity work with such a great group of professionals and I admire the success we have created".

Blyk was founded in 2005 and Æhrling served as Chairman of Blyk Media India and Member in the Board of Directors in Blyk International. He is an honorary member of Board of Directors at MMA for Asia Pacific and a fellow at the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Art, Manufactures and Commerce, UK).

"India is tremendously interesting market and it can change mobile market also globally", Æhrling believes.

Æhrling will continue as chairman of Contra China, an advertising agency specializing in mobile and social media marketing, based in Beijing.

On the burst of Social Media activities in India Æhrling says "Social media and rapidly developing mobile services combined create totally new opportunities for media, brands, operators and e-business as a whole. I want to explore this new emerging market further. We are only in the beginning of discovering the potential of mobile as the ultimate marketplace in the world".
