Color's Celebrity Cricket League kicks off today

The most loved game in the country is back. This upcoming season of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL 5) has a great deal to offer the Indian audience. The 5th season of this game will start from 10th January and would be showcased on six prominent channels simultaneously.

The channels include two from Viacom18 - Colors and Rishtey (the Hindi GECs) - and four from the Sun TV Network - Sun, Surya, Udaya and Gemini. Regional channels will air matches for the respective regions/teams with a minimum of three matches scheduled per channel.

The eight teams participating this year are Mumbai Heroes (Bollywood - Maharashtra), Chennai Rhinos (Kollywood - Tamil Nadu), Telugu Warriors (Tollywood - Andhra Pradesh), Karnataka Bulldozers (Sandalwood - Karnataka), Kerala Strikers (Mollywood - Kerala), Bengal Tigers (Tollywood Bangla - West Bengal), Bhojpuri Dabbangs (Bhojpuri cinema - UP and Bihar) and Veer Marathi (Marathi cinema - Maharashtra).

The past 4 seasons have been quite a hit amongst the Indian audience and this season is expected to attract more mass and foot falls. The matches will be played in Mumbai (Brabourne Stadium), Hyderabad (LB Stadium), Ranchi (JSCA Stadium), Bangalore (Chinnaswamy) and Ahmedabad (Sardar Patel). The League begins today in Mumbai and the last match will be played in Hyderabad.
