Comedy Central launches an all-new homegrown show - Challenge Accepted

This New Year, Comedy Central welcomes Cyrus Sahukar back on television with its latest laughter riot – Challenge Accepted. The all new show will showcase an exciting dare-based fight to the finish between five contestants competing for a grand prize. Challenge Accepted is all set to premiere on 30th January at 8.30pm only on Comedy Central – Your Happy Place.
The rule of the game is simple: Be a sport and accept every challenge. However, the dares will be accompanied by hilarious embarrassing situations for the contestants, making it difficult for them to complete the challenge

“Getting anyone to do anything I want, has been a life time challenge. Hence, with a show like this, it has been an emotional fantasy come true. The show has been great fun shooting and as expected, quite often, the unexpected has happened” - Cyrus Sahukar. Each unaware contestant is challenged to face various awkward situations and obstacles thrown by their host and challenger Cyrus Sahukar.

Contestant 1: Deep Chhabria - Stand-up comedian, copywriter and all-round cutie, Deep always gets the ladies; Contestant 2: Naveen Richard - Failed lawyer and sketch comedy specialist known for his ingenious characters; Contestant 3: Utsav Chakraborty - Previously known as Satan Bhagat, this stand-up comedian is known for his talent of doing 50 different male and female voices; Contestant 4: Cyril D’Abs - Best known for his Vines and being “just friends” with VJ Hoezay; Contestant 5: Dhruv Deshpande - Allegedly the youngest comedian in India, Dhruv’s family really believes that this show will change his life.

Upon completion of the challenges given to them by Cyrus, the points of these contestants will be rolled over to the next episode all the way till the Grand Finale. Unfortunately, tasks not completed will result in negative points that will reflect on their final score. Towards the end of each episode, a celebrity guest will be invited for a bonus round to challenge any contestant of their choice to complete a challenge. The last survivor of the season holding on to maximum points will emerge as the winner.

The show will be supported by a 360 degree marketing and digital campaign through on-ground and radio partnership, with this the channel aims to connect with viewers at the most unexpected places.
