Concept Australia through Aussies' eyes

As part of the international tourism campaign, Australians have been invited to share their personal stories on why they would say, "Mate, there's nothing like Australia!' ” a go at tourism promotion through a unique campaign ” truly a people's movement.

Now, whether they show off their kangaroos, or the cool beaches or just their beautiful people ” Aussies have been asked to go all out in their attempt to allure you to visit their land and try first hand on all things they think adds to make the Down Under the most beautiful place on earth.

The new campaign aimed at helping to create powerful word-of-mouth discussion about the country to encourage others to travel to and through Australia is being developed in two phases. The first phase will ask the citizens to share their personal trivia ” stories of where they live and holiday in Oz ” enticements that would show the world why Australians think you should put Oz in the list of travel plans. The second phase of the exciting promotion will be announced in May. The best entries from Australians in the first phase will be used in online and print advertising globally, declared Tourism Australia's Managing Director Andrew McEvoy. The second part of the exciting game will include a video suitable for broadcast in cinemas, television and online.

Australians will have the chance to upload why they think There's nothing like Australia with a photo onto https://nothinglikeaustralia.com, a website created by Tourism Australia for the new promotion between April 15 and May 12.

Tourism Australia will use these entries to create a new interactive map of Australia, including the things that Australians think are special about their country. This map will be made searchable by experience type, location, and by 1,000 keywords and housed on www.australia.com and also at www.nothinglikeaustralia.com.

And if you think that's all, wait. There's more for the entrants: You will also get to win exciting prizes. A winner will be chosen from each state and territory to win an Australian holiday valued at $5,000. An overall winner will then be selected to win the ultimate Australian holiday valued at $25,000.
