Craftsvilla ropes in influencers to promote World Ethnic Day

Craftsvilla, a brand that focuses on latest ethnic fashion announced the fourth edition of ‘World Ethnic Day’, a day that encourages people across India to connect back to their roots. Commemorated every year on 19th June, the campaign will see a series of festivities throughout the week inspiring people to bring out their ethnic best in attire, food and culture.

For this special day, Craftsvilla has collaborated with more than 35 eminent and diverse celebrities from different walks of life across the country. Anita Hanssnandani (popular TV Actor), Sandeepa Dhar (lead of upcoming Bollywood movie Firrkie), Sakhi Gokhale (Marathi TV Actor), Anjana Rangan (TV host and VJ), Ahaana Krishna, (Mollywood Actor), Lin Laishram (Bollywood Actor and Entrepreneur), Kuvelu Tetseo (of the Tetseo Sisters fame from Nagaland) and Samentha Fernandes (Popular Dancer and Actor) are few of the influencers who will join in the week-long celebrations. Each of them will talk about what ethnic means to them, their unique backgrounds and cultural influences.

Since food and language also play influential part in shaping our roots, the brand has partnered with food bloggers and YourQuote, India's fastest growing user generated content platform, to promote local languages for the activity.

While the food bloggers will engage the audience through contests around ethnic delicacies, YourQuote will encourage users to create content around what ethnic means to them.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Manoj Gupta, Co-Founder & CEO Craftsvilla said, “While Indian fabrics designs and ‘Make In India’ have been in the limelight for the past few years, for Craftsvilla, this has been the core of the brand since its inception. World Ethnic Day lets us revive the role ethnic plays in our everyday lives and gives people a chance to celebrate it. We hope that the whole of India will take out sometime on June 19th for participating in the festivities.”

Craftsvilla’s wide portfolio includes women's fashion apparels like sarees, salwar suits, lehengas, anarkalis, kurtis, bottomwear jewellery and men's fashion apparels like kurtas, dhotis, sherwanis and kotis and many more. The brand’s exclusive range is available both online (www.craftsvilla.com, e-commerce platforms) and offline (stand-alone stores and multi-brand retail outlets).
