Creative leadership re-structuring @ WPP's Meridian

According to a Press statement Meridian Communications the world’s leading conglomerate of marketing communications services have appointed Ogilvy’s Anuraag Khandelwal and Satish de Sa as Executive Directors to head the creative mantle of its Mumbai office. Both will assume office from 1st June 2012.
 
Anuraag and Satish have had a fantastic partnership at Ogilvy and both have a wealth of 26 years experience behind them. During this period they have created stellar campaigns for brands like TATA Motors, IPL. Cadbury, Tata Sky, Aegon Religare Life Insurance, Unilever’s Beverages, Oberoi Realty, Hutch and many more. During their days at Ogilvy both have collected metal nationally and internationally.
 
Piyush Pandey, Executive Chairman & Chief Creative Director, Ogilvy, South Asia said, “Meridian has found itself two young men who are very ambitious and full of exciting ideas. I have asked them to make Meridian a place that gives their friends at Ogilvy sleepless nights.” He sees it as healthy competition which would result in great advertising on both sides of the family.
 
Both Anuraag and Satish are eager to get started on their new portfolios and ready to face more challenges. “When we were asked to head Meridian, Mumbai I thought here is another opportunity to challenge ourselves. Each time we have done that, we have been encouraged by the outcome,” says Anuraag. Satish too joins in to say “We believe that our appetite for constantly reinventing ourselves for setting new standards is what will differentiate Meridian in the near future.”
 
Samrat Bedi , Head Of Office at Meridian has all praise for their new age work. “Our recent IPL ‘Carnival’ campaign is exactly the kind of fresh creative energy that Meridian needs today,” he says.
