CRED is back with its Income Tax Reward for creditworthy taxpayers

CRED, a high-trust community of individuals, brands and institutions will ease away one financial burden during the day of Union Budget 2022. On February 1, CRED will reward tax paying citizens, who pay their credit card bills on the platform, for financially responsible behaviour.

During the budget session, individuals who pay their credit card bills on CRED stand to be rewarded with 100% a refund of their income tax filing for the financial year 2020-2021. As the session falls in the middle of the average credit card payment cycle, this initiative aims at incentivising timely bill payments.

This opportunity is open to CRED members who filed their taxes for FY 2020-2021.  Indian citizens - who are not CRED members - can download the app and check their credit score instantly to avail this opportunity. Once their credit scores are retrieved from third party bureaus, they can save their credit card details in advance. Members can win this reward by simply paying their credit card bills through the CRED app on the day of the Union Budget (February 01, 2022). One lucky winner will be eligible for a reward that is equal to 100% of their FY 2020-21 income tax, up to a maximum of Rs 10,00,000.

Abhinav Gupta, winner of the reward last year, said "At first, when I got the mail from CRED, I thought it was a prank by someone. I did not believe it until I checked my CRED app where my name appeared as the winner and the entire amount of my IT returns was credited back. Getting 100% returns on my income tax returns really felt rewarding. It is good to know that financially responsible behaviour like taxpaying is being encouraged and we can look forward to these rewards on CRED."

This rewarding opportunity is one of many other incentives CRED offers its members through the app to encourage financially responsible behaviour amongst the community. CRED helps its members improve their relationship with money and gain financial stability. It also helps them turn credit card payments into delightful experiences rather than dread.

CRED has also partnered with lifestyle blogger and stand-up comedian Tanmay Bhatt for a live session on his YouTube channel where he will discuss the Union Budget 2022.
Apart from cashbacks, members also stand a chance to avail offers and specially CRED curated products on Store, once-in-a-lifetime experiences through travel and special financial products created by credible banks for the trustworthy CRED members.
