Cricket Fan and Pepsi’s favourite dadi, Charulata Patel passes away at 87
Charulata Patel, who came under the media spotlight during the ICC 2019 World Cup when India played against Bangladesh in Edgbaston, passed away on January 13th at the age of 87. During that match, an image showing the octogenarian give her blessings to the Captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli became viral on social media and turning her into a sensation overnight.
BCCI put up a post yesterday sharing their condolences for one of Team India’s oldest fans. “#TeamIndia's Superfan Charulata Patel ji will always remain in our hearts and her passion for the game will keep motivating us.”
