D&AD 2017: 16 Pencils for India; Dads #ShareTheLoad bags 5 Pencils

The second tranche of the D&AD Pencil winners for 2017 have been announced today. India has bagged 16 Pencils so far. Leading the Pencil winners from India is the much acclaimed ‘Dads #ShareTheLoad’ campaign by BBDO India with 5 Pencils. 

The ‘Dads #ShareTheLoad’ campaign has secured Pencils in five categories – Brand Experience & Environments, Advertising & Marketing Communications/ Brand, Integrated Campaign, Integrated/ Established Campaigns, and Earned Media/ Large Business categories. 

Ogilvy & Mather India has secured 4 Pencils. The agency bagged 2 Pencils for Savlon Healthy Hands Chalk Sticks in the Creativity for Good and Innovative Product Design categories. Ogilvy & Mather India won a Pencil for its work Philips LED Storm - Cycle in the Graphic Design – Posters category. The agency also secured a Pencil for its ‘The 100 Pipers Guitar Series’ campaign in the Crafts for Advertising - Illustration for Advertising category. 

Taproot Dentsu’s work done for Adidas has won the agency 2 Pencils – one for Adidas Odds and the second for Adidas Tale of Two. 

Another sports brand, Nike, secured a Pencil for the catchy Da Da Ding campaign done by Wieden+Kennedy Delhi in the Use of Music for Film Advertising category.

J. Walter Thompson India has won a Pencil for its Blood Banking campaign done for the Indian Red Cross Society. 

Leo Burnett India’s campaign – The Nation’s Bike – done for Bajaj Auto has also secured a Pencil. 

The Dancing Letters campaign done for Maharashtra Dyslexia Association has fetched McCann World Group a Pencil. 

Ek Type’s campaign, titled ‘Baloo’ done for Open Source through Google has won a Pencil in the Crafts for Design category.
