Dainik Bhaskar set World Record on 29th anniversary edition in Bilaspur

The Dainik Bhaskar Bilaspur Edition entered the record books with 60 feet by 12 feet Masthead made from Railway Parts adorning a path-breaking 70 pages of bespoke content to celebrate its 29th Anniversary.

The Dainik Bhaskar’s Bilaspur team created the largest artifact depicting “दैनिक भास्कर” on the masthead with discarded railway spare parts. This humongous masthead was created at the BCN Depot with the scrap of 1,500 Railway spare parts weighing 12 tons and with dimensions of 60 feet by 12 feet, it set a record in the Golden Book of World Records, surpassing the previous record of 22 feet by 5 feet, by over 2 times.

The masthead was of course one part of the special mega edition. Our content and editorial teams set about creating a huge collectible edition with the theme of “Kal Aaj Aur Kal” depicting the glorious past, the developing current scenario and the promising future. Apart from the local references such as “Chauthi line, Shruwat@ Hamar Bilaspur, Rail yatra@”, another innovative piece was that of the Smart City which was represented as the popular “Snakes and Ladder” game, where the Ladder represented all the improvements whereas the snake represented the pitfalls. The edition also contained the forthright views of various personalities and experts on the city. There were several interesting and previously unheard-of anecdotes, provided by the elders in the city.

Commenting on this momentous occasion, Mr. Harsh Pandey, Bilaspur Editor said, “Being a Market leader, we are always striving to do something new, something different, something substantial, and keeping the interest of the readers paramount. With the Railways being an integral part of the lives of Bilaspur right from Independent India’s formation, we created our masthead with discarded railway parts to personify the importance of railways. This was created with the help of railway workers who became part of this record-breaking masthead. We are proud and owe our gratitude to the energetic and passionate team that strived hard – right from the concept to execution and delivering the papers to our readers.”

Mr. Anil Khare – Unit Head, Dainik Bhaskar Bilaspur added, “We @Bhaskar, offer various innovative strategies consistently for our business partners as well as for the readers to create buzz in the market for wider impact. On this special occasion of 29th Anniversary, we took the challenge to give Bilaspurians’ and to our clients a never-before product, accompanied by different innovations like the “French Window” concept, which was well received by our readers and clients alike. We will continue to be at the forefront of delivering the news as well as a platform for our clients to reach the readers for their business.”
