Dangal TV announces new show ‘Bindiya Sarkaar’

They say in politics there are no accidents; everything that happens is planned that way. But what happens when an innocent girl from a small village in Uttar Pradesh, gets chosen to become the Chief Minister of one of the most powerful states in the country?

Dangal TV, India’s leading FTA channel, chronicles the journey of Bindiya who becomes the accidental Chief Minister, in the new show ‘Bindiya Sarkar’. The show stars Sonal Khilwani as Bindiya, with Dhruv Bhandari, Amit Behl and Abhilash Choudhury in leading roles.

‘Bindiya Sarkar’ will narrate the extraordinary life story of Bindiya, a laid back, funny and without any real ambitions in life girl from a small village in Uttar Pradesh. She talks a lot, is very helpful and has ‘gharelu nuskhaas’ for every problem. Bindiya’s only dream is her ‘sapno ka rajkumar’, whom she will find in Lucknow. But that dream turns into a harsh reality when she reaches Lucknow and is chosen the Chief Minister of the state. The show captures Bindiya evolving into her role, a life that she is chosen for, as she first starts feeling and then later starts enjoying the responsibility she is entrusted with.

Bindiya with her native intelligence solves the biggest of problems in the same way she would solve problems of her home; ‘badi badi problems ke chote chote solutions degi, hanste khelte bana degi ye Rajya ko RamRajya.’

The main lead hails from a small village in Uttar Pradesh. She is laid back, funny and doesn’t really have any real ambitions in life. Talks a lot, is helpful, has gharelu nuskhaas for every problem and is a dreamer.

Dhruv Bhandari as Abhay Bhardwaj

Our hero is a cop! Security head of the chief minister! He is diligent, duty bound, loves his country and is patriotic. He is well read and has a dominating personality. He is Short tempered and often irritated. He has been a part of this male dominated world around him. He can see the flaws but hasn’t been vocal about them as he knows that the women around him do not feel that they are in a mess, how can he help clean the same for them.

Megha

Megha is the secretary of the CM, a well learned girl who is also the girlfriend of abhay, later when bindiya becomes the CM, megha becomes her secretary and we see the bond that is created between Megha and Bindiya.

Amit Behl as Kantilal Bhardwaj

A contractor by profession, he believes in fixing and managing political contacts. He has managed to place all his close people in good positions so that his work is smoothened. He expects all the women, be it his wife or the daughter in laws of the house, to be illiterate, fearful women, who don’t have any opinion and even if they do, they don’t have the courage to put that out and loud. He is an authoritarian in the family and all decisions are made by him till date.
