DB Corp Q1 FY23 revenue up 62.5% YoY to Rs 500 crore
DB Corp Limited (DBCL), India’s largest print media company and home to flagship newspapers – Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar, Divya Marathi and Saurashtra Samachar – has announced its financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2022.
DB Corp’s Total Consolidated Revenue grew 62.5% YoY to Rs 500 crore in Q1 FY2023, from Rs 308 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
Ad Revenue during the first quarter grew by 96.6% to Rs 337 crore, from Rs 171 crore in Q1 FY2022. Meanwhile, Circulation revenue grew 4.5% YoY to Rs 116 crore, compared to Rs 111 crore in Q1 FY2022.
EBIDTA grew 1338 % YoY to Rs 74 crore, from Rs 5 crore.
Profit After Tax (PAT) was reported at Rs 31 crore in Q1 FY2023, a growth of 239% YoY over Rs 22 crore in Q1 FY2022.
Print Business
The News print cost for the quarter remains 2% lower than that of Q1 FY2020. Print & Other business Ad Revenue registered a growth of 95.7% YoY to Rs 305 crore, from Rs 156 crore.
Print EBIDTA margin at 20% expanded by around 700 basis points.
Radio Business
Radio Advertising Revenue grew by 105.8% YoY to Rs 32 crore in Q1 FY2023, compared to Rs 16 crore in Q1 the previous year. Radio EBIDTA grew by 3723% YOY to Rs 9.4 crore versus loss of Rs 0.26 crore.
