DD National to telecast a special programme on 'World Toilet Day'

In tune with the ‘Swachh Bharat Campaign’ launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi on 2/10/2014 on the occasion of birthday celebration of Mahatma Gandhi, the ‘World Toilet Day’ will be observed on 19/11/12014. 

The prime channel of public broadcaster, DD National is set to telecast a special programme on ‘World Toilet Day’ titled ‘Bal Safai Abhiyan’ at 10.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.

The Doordarshan Kendras across the country has been asked to ensure that the activities of Swachha Bharat-World Toilet Day on 19/11/2014 are being covered at National/Capital and at Gram Panchayat Level.

We truly believe that its an opportunity for people at large to inspire action and underscore the urgency needed to end the problems faced by the vulnerable class.
