Decoding the new wave of leadership in a volatile world

The need for efficient and dynamic leaders has never been more important than now, as India transforms and makes her imprint on the world stage. Because the employment market is so volatile and there is severe attrition across the board, spotting and developing good leader potential has always been a struggle for most organisations. A company’s growth might be slowed by a loss of intellectual capital. As a result, organisations all over the world have enormous difficulties in keeping and cultivating new leaders. Those organisations or businesses that do not groom and retain their leaders will fall behind.

Adgully’s first edition of Leader 2.0, held on January 24, 2022, showcased some of the emerging leaders from different sectors who have paved their own path and are leading their organisations to newer and greater heights.

Speaking on the topic ‘New Thoughts, New Wave of Leadership in a volatile world’, Gaurav Khatri, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Noise, noted how keeping oneself safe and healthy has now become the most pressing issue that ever before in the last two years.

He added, “Everybody is starting from zero experience, nobody was prepared for Covid-19, and the situations that we have faced in the last two years, everything has changed for each one of us. COVID has changed a lot in everybody’s lives and the way we used to think and perceive anything two years back has either changed or evolved very drastically. And this has happened not only in a personal capacity, but it has also happened in the way the businesses are determined or run in a new era.”

Adding further, Khatri said, “There has been a change in the leadership style – I would rather say that not only the leadership style, but the thought process behind leading any business or leading any kind of work that one is doing.”
