Delhi-based Maverick assigned digital mandate for Avon Cycles

Maverick Digital, a Delhi-based digital marketing and research agency, has bagged the digital marketing and communication mandate for Avon Cycles. Avon Group manufactures a wide range of bicycles, bicycle parts, accessories, e-bikes and Keep-Fit series.

Commenting about the association, Avon Cycle Director Rishi Pahwa, said, “Being one of the pioneers of the cycle industry, we feel that this industry was in a dead situation because of low consumption. People who live in metros hardly ride bicycles because they feel it doesn’t fit in their lifestyle. Thus there was a requirement to modernise the industry first, so we shifted our focus and started manufacturing more trendy, stylish yet comfortable cycles which suit the taste of youngsters. Now, we need to create connect with the Internet savvy generation, which is more health and fitness conscious. So our entire communication is based on healthy and fit India and we feel that Maverick will take our motto in the masses and will act as a catalyst in reviving the industry.”

Reacting to the win, Omm Dev Sharma, Director, Maverick Group, said, “We are happy to be with Avon Cycles. Vivek Banka, Director of Maverick Digital, added here that the Avon campaign is based on promoting cycling as a young generation sport so that people can connect and encourage others to ride the cycle for an hour daily, which can help them to be healthy and fit without spending hours in the gym.

Maverick’s client roster included brands like HTC, Firefox, and Pitapit Arihant, besides Avon Cycles.
