Delhi Election meme war ‘Aap chronology samjhiye’
Since 15th January, the IT cells of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Indian National Congress (INC) have been hard at work churning out memes to mock the opposition. This is happening in the run up to the 2020 Delhi Elections on 8th February. While BJP and Congress memes are circulated via their supporters and never directly from their Twitter handles, AAP is using their verified Twitter handle to flood social media with memes creating a greater impact and engagement. Will Baazigar memes decide the fate of Delhi Elections?
AAP
While the Baazigar meme mocking BJP Delhi unit head, Manoj Tewari was the most viral meme launched by Aam Aadmi Party they have a lot more amusing content to offer compared to the other two parties.

BJP
BJP’s has spared no expense in generating meme content to vilify AAP. Most notable content created by them is the ‘Paap Ki Aadalat’. They have also launched a rap song.

#DontCryBagga
The hashtag #DontCryBagga was trending for a bit when BJP dropped Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga as a prospective candidate to be CM of Delhi.

While the Congress party responded to memes created by AAP and BJP they were less prone to take the meme route to mock the opposition parties. Is this a conscious choice or a lack of creativity? One wonders.
