Delhi Legislative Assembly Elections 2020: ABP-CVOTER Exit Poll

The ABP-CVOTER exit poll furnished an accurate picture of the Delhi Legislative Assembly Election Results. The exit poll had predicted a return victory for Aam Aadmi Party with a vote-share of 50.8%. BJP was forecasted to win 36% vote-share, followed by Indian National Congress (INC) with 8.8% vote share, and others with 4.4% vote-share.

The prediction was based on a survey conducted with Centre for Voting Opinion & Trends in Election Research (CVOTER), which reached out to a total of approximately 11,839 people in Delhi.

The exit poll projected Aam Admi Party to win 51 to 65 seats, followed by BJP with 3 to 17 seats, and 0 to 3 seats for Congress, in line with the actual results.

Thriving on digital, ABP News (18.7m subscribers) also outperformed Aaj Tak on YouTube on the critical counting day. In addition, ABP News and ABP News Hindi combined, witnessed more than 1.5x concurrent viewership of 4, 60,000 in opposition to Aaj Tak which stood at 300,000 views from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, the peak hours of counting day.
