Delhi Press picks Sabyasachi Ghosh as Advertising Sales Director!

Delhi Press has appointed Sabyasachi Ghosh as their Advertising Sales Director. Ghosh will be leading the advertising sales function across the group’s publications. Delhi Press publishes 32 magazines in nine languages that include titles such as Grihshobha, The Caravan, Woman’s Era, Champak, Sarita and Saras Salil. He will henceforth be reporting to Anant Nath, Director, Delhi Press.

He will also be in charge of managing the revenue stream for the group -- from advertising and sponsorship activities for its magazine brands, online sites, events and reader activations. His new responsibilities now include working out the strategic and tactical programs to unlock the latent values in many of the group’s publications and developing marketing extensions around the existing portfolio. He is also expected to nurture  some of their  recent launches and acquisitions.

Ghosh’s appointment follows that of V. Natarajan who has been appointed as Vice President – Brand Marketing and Strategy, Delhi Press. Natarajan’s portfolio includes  spearheading the overall responsibility of brand management of Delhi Press magazines and he too will be reporting to Anant Nath.

Though earlier in his career Ghosh was involved in the print domain he was mostly associated with the media agency side of the business. His print experience comes  from Ananda Patrika Bazaar where he  headed their advertising sales and later the company’s magazines division during his five year stint with them. He is also known to have spent nearly 17 years with Group M in various roles which concerned the domestic as well as international markets.

His marketing career took off when he joined the Response division of Times Of India in Kolkata in 1988. He graduated in Economics from Jadavpur University and holds an MBA degree from IISWBM , Calcutta University.
