DEN Networks Q4 FY16 revenues up 37%; digital subscriber base at 9.4 mn

DEN Networks, the largest cable MSO in India, has reported a 37 per cent Y-o-Y jump in its Q4 FY16 consolidated revenues at Rs 370 crore, compared to Rs 270 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

EBITDA for Q4 FY16 stood at Rs 99 crore vis-a-vis a loss of Rs 6 crore in Q4 FY15. Meanwhile, Profit Before Tax (excluding Exceptional Items) turned around to a positive Rs 11 crore as against a loss of Rs 47 crore in Q4 FY15.

Revenues for the cable business were up 30 per cent Y-o-Y in Q4 FY16 at Rs 345 crore from Rs 265 crore in Q4 FY15. EBITDA jumped 754 per cent to Rs 119 crore in Q4 FY16, compared to Rs 14 crore cr in the same quarter of the previous fiscal. EBITDA margins expanded from 5 per cent to 34.5 per cent, an increase of 30 per cent.

DEN Networks seeded 1 million set top boxes at an industry leading activation revenue of Rs 1,010 per box.

Meanwhile, total digital subscriber base reached 9.4 million.
