Dentsu India picks Shantanu Mukherji as ECD!
Continuing with the series of senior-level appointments, the Dentsu India Group today announced the appointment of Shantanu Mukherji as Executive Creative Director, Dentsu Creative Impact. Shantanu will partner the leadership team at Dentsu Creative Impact on brands like Maruti, Tetrapak and Max India. He will also partner Soumitra Karnik, National Creative Director, Dentsu India Group on select projects.
Shantanu joins Team Dentsu from JWT, Delhi where as Vice President and Senior Creative Director he led Art for JWT’s client Airtel. Over his nineteen years with JWT, Shantanu grew from Art Director to a Creative Head responsible for a key portfolio in JWT.
Welcoming Shantanu to Dentsu, Rohit Ohri, Executive Chairman, Dentsu India Group said, “Shantanu is a hugely talented creative person with a super work ethic. A graduate from Delhi College of Arts, Shantanu began his journey in advertising at Tara Sinha - McCann Erickson as a Junior Visualizer working on brands such as Nestle, Reckitt, Taj Hotels and Gillette. Moving to HTA (JWT) as Art Director in 1993, Shantanu led his own group and the Chandigarh office, going on to win business such as Motorola Pagers, Pizza Hut, Sony, Airtel, Congress, CWG, KFC and Apollo Tyres to name a few.
Shantanu’s brand experience spans diverse categories like FMCG, Hospitality, Consumer Durables, Lifestyle, Media, Real Estate, Telecom, Automotive, Financial Services and IT to include brands such as ESPN Star Sports, ITC Hotels, Timex, GE Money, Spice Telecom and Monte Carlo among others.
