Disney rebrands TV business under 20th Century Fox to 20th Television

The Walt Disney Company has announced that it is rebranding its newly acquired TV Studio 20th Century Fox to 20th Television. This news follows the company's decision to rebrand 85 year old film studio 20th Century Fox to 20th Century Studios. The company has decided to drop the tag Fox as part of a larger re-brand for all of Disney’s TV studios.

Disney is also planning to merge ABC Studios and its subsidiary ABC Signature under the ABC Signature banner. The studio will be renamed Touchstone Television (a TV brand that Disney stopped using in 2007).

New logos and end cards will appear on TV shows this fall, including on episodes of The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, and Bob’s Burgers. Existing episodes on streaming and digital libraries will continue to bear the original logos. According to a statement by the company, "The goal is to avoid confusion between the Disney-owned parts of the former company and the “New Fox.”
