‘Divorce’ wraps up its first season on Star World Premiere HD!

Starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Thomas Haden Church, ‘Divorce’ has successfully wooed the audience’s hearts all of season one with its witty dialogues and hilarious repartees. Now, the show that has been nominated for the prestigious Golden Globe awards this year comes to a bittersweet end,tonight at 10 PM on Star World Premiere HD, as audiences continue to root for ‘Team Frances’ and ‘Team Robert’ respectively.

The title of the finale - ‘Détente’ suggests that the season may end on a sweet note, featuring some sort of mutual agreement between Sarah Jessica Parker’s Frances and Thomas Haden Church’sRobert. But have things ever worked out with so much chaos? 

Right since its inception and throughout this season, ‘Divorce’ has continued to surprise viewers worldwide, first with Sarah Jessica Parker’s more mature role and second with a plotline so unique. Even after depicting a rather delicate subject, the show has never failed in finding humor in domestic turmoil and provides audiences with plenty of shocking turns along the way.  

Catch the Dufresne family as they embark on their final journey this season. When Lila gets hit by a car, the family reunites in the hospital and Robert and Frances make amends to do better for their kids. Frances also confesses to her father the brutal truth about cheating on her husband first. In turn, her father hints a similar truth about her mother. However, not all is well in the Dufresne world as Frances’s lawyer makes a wicked move on Robert that sets him on a vengeful course. Further, Frances’s big art gallery opening shows some delightful moments between the two, but all is said and done too soon as Frances falls into the trap setup by Robert  too. What happens to the couple? What repercussions is Frances going to face after the cruel move on Robert? Will they finally reconcile or will it be the divorce? 

Co-written by Sharon Horgan, creator of the tangled love life Pulling and Emmy award winning seriesCatastrophe, the show also stars child actor of Conjuring fame Sterling Jerins, Talia Balsam (fromMad Men, All the King’s Men, No Strings Attached and Little Manhattan), Molly Shannon (fromSerendipity, Shallow Hal, My Boss’ Daughter and Bad Teacher) and more. 

The ultimate finale of the first season of ‘Divorce’ airs on Star World Premiere HD at 10 PM on Monday, 19th December.
