Doctors’ strike, PM Modi’s activities dominated news in Week 24

Chrome News Track, from Chrome Data Analytics and Media, has been conducting study on News Content aired across India by choosing the ‘Most Aired, Most Watched and Most Discussed News of the week’.

The survey conducted is an outcome of the data collected from 34,000 Chrome DM panel homes across India. It analyses the effectiveness of the News aired on television every week and categorises it through three broad segments namely Most Aired, Most Watched and Most Discussed.

Most Aired News in Week 24

According to the Chrome News Track data for the Week 24 - 2019, “PM Narendra Modi Activities” was the most Aired News this week, followed by News About “High Alert in Maharashtra and Gujarat for Cyclone Vayu”. The News about “Modi Govt Announces Scholarships for 5 Crore Minority Students” stood at the 3^rd spot, the “Controversy on Balidan Badge on Dhoni Gloves” was next in the list and News about “Indian Doctors Strike Over Concerns for their Safety” managed to take the fifth and the last spot.

The survey also unveils that “PM Narendra Modi Activities” was the most watched news for the week grabbing maximum eyeballs, followed by “High Alert in Maharashtra and Gujarat for Cyclone Vayu”. The news about “Controversy on Balidan Badge on Dhoni Gloves”, “Indian Doctors Strike Over Concerns fortheir Safety” and “Modi Govt Announces Scholarships for 5 Crore Minority Students” also generated interests amongst viewers and are placed at 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th positions, respectively, in the list.

Most Discussed News in Week 24

On the other hand, taking a closer view of the Most Discussed News category of the survey, the news about “Modi Govt Announces Scholarships for 5 Crore Minority Students” has been the talk of the nation making it the most discussed news, whereas the News about “Controversy on Balidan Badge on Dhoni Gloves” happens to be the 2^nd most discussed news as per the survey. “Indian Doctors Strike Over Concerns fortheir Safety” became the 3^rd most discussed news among the masses. “PM Narendra Modi Activities” and “High Alert in Maharashtra and Gujarat for Cyclone Vayu” are placed at 4^th and 5^th positions, respectively, in the list.
