Domino’s shared 100s of free pizzas in celebration of India’s 75th I-Day

Everyone loves free pizza so this Independence Day, Domino’s Pizza, India’s largest pizza brand gave its customers 75 free pizzas every hour for 12 hours consecutively on August 15th celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence. The pizza chain offered discounts all week long for their valuable customers exclusively on the Domino’s App.

The winners of the FreeDOM sale checked Domino’s social media handles on the day for the engaging activities that the brand shared. Throughout the day, the brand put out one tweet every hour. Each tweet asked the user to engage with Domino’s in some manner or the other, and on achieving a certain objective, the brand unlocked a new coupon code for that hour. The campaign began with the brand tweeting asking their customers to share reasons on why they need a free pizza. Customers got creative with their answers for a chance to win a pizza - the wackier the response, the better. The 75 people with the best responses received a direct message from the brand with a voucher code to redeem their Domino’s pizza. This was followed by multiple engagement lead tweets by the brand on 15th August. Domino’s also disbursed coupons on Instagram via twelve unique giveaways and treasure hunts.

Pizza is almost synonymous with occasions to celebrate or to have a wonderful time over a meal. Domino’s made a celebration of the day marking India’s 75th year of freedom for its customers even better with their FreeDOM sale.
