Doordarshan gives a Rs 11.22 cr boost to its North East kendras

Doordarshan has allocated a budget amounting to Rs 11.22 crore for its 12 kendras in the North East to meet their software programme expenses under various sub-heads. The sum has been allocated for the financial year 2016-17.

The sum has been allocated out of Doordarshan’s internal extra-budgetary resources.

These 12 kendras include: Aizwal, Agartala, Dibrugarh, Gangtok, Guwahati, Imphal, Itanagar, Kohima, Shillong, Silchar, and Tura, as well as the Programme Production Centre (NE) in Guwahati.

As per an official circular issued by the Directorate General, Doordarshan, these 12 kendras have been asked to ensure that the expenditure during FY2016-17 is kept within the budget allocated and send a Monthly Expenditure Statement (MES) by the fifth of the following month.
