Doordarshan’s viewership gets boost with Chhota Bheem

The telecast of kids’ favourite cartoon character on Doordarshan has boosted its slot viewership. As per the latest report by BARC- Nielsen, kids’ have contributed to 38% of the total viewership to the show. Kids’ in the age group of 2-14 years have contributed significantly to the viewership of the show. With kids’ having no access to any outdoor entertainment or outdoor games, the viewership in the kids’ genre has seen a tremendous rise. As live projects are on a slower pace due to the ongoing lockdown, telecasting ChhotaBheem that are constantly providing entertainment to the kids, the latest one being ChhotaBheem Kung Fu Dhama series on the list.

The Hindi speaking market has seen a jump of 11 times, with impressions during pre-COVID being 154,000 and rising to 1,729,000 in week 16. ChhotaBheem premiered in the year 2008 on 1st May. As ChhotaBheemcelebrates its birthday today, it has always remained kids’ favourite cartoon character, because of his adventurous and fun-loving nature. With nearly more than 1L minutes of content, more than 300+ episodes, 20+ TV movies and 5 Theatrical movies, This Indian most loved character has come a long way and is looking for a brighter future ahead

Recently It also tasted international success on Netflix with its toddler version Mighty Little Bheem.
