Dr Uday Nirgudkar quits as Zee 24 Taas Editor; Vijay Kuvalekar roped in

Dr Uday Nirgudkar, Editor-in-Chief of Marathi news channel Zee 24 Taas, put in his papers on October 31, 2017. He was also the Business Head of the channel. He had also served as the Chief of DNA and headed its operations. Known for his marketing and advertising acumen, Nirgudkar’s policies had strengthened the brand further. 

Meanwhile, senior journalist Vijay Kuvalekar has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of Zee 24 Taas. Kuvalekar has been associated with brands like Sakal and Lokmat in the past. He was initially roped in about two months ago at Zee for a new Marathi weekly that the organisation is planning to launch.
