Edelweiss Tokio Life pledges support to welfare of Indian defence forces

Dedicated to protecting the dreams and aspirations of India’s defence personnel, Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance’s Vijeta initiative has pledged its support to welfare of Indian Defence forces in commemoration of the 73rd Independence Day.

This activity will be conducted in August by the insurer’s agency channel. The insurer will donate Rs. 250 to the defence welfare fund for existing agent activated and every new agent added to the Edelweiss Tokio Life family.

Commenting on this move, Mr. Abhishek Gupta, Chief Marketing Officer, Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance said, “Since we are celebrating our independence this month, we thought it was fitting to support this cause. We want to meaningfully celebrate Independence with all our employees, and contribute to the overall wellbeing of our soldiers. We will continue to identify the right avenues to support our defence forces going forward too.”

The insurer recently also flagged off its Vijeta initiative, which comprises a team of former army personnel who advise the existing defence forces on their financial needs. Last month, Edelweiss Tokio Life’s Vijeta conducted a plantation drive at Deolali Camp in Nashik. The team, along with the defence personnel at Deolali Camp, planted 600 fruit-bearing plants.
