Edtech startup BasicFirst appoints Ravi Kapoor as Head of Sales

BasicFirst Inc., a Jharkhand Innovation Lab-selected edtech startup, today announced the appointment of Ravi Kapoor as Head of Sales for its India operation. Mr. Kapoor is joining the start-up with close to three decades of diverse experience in sales, service excellence, order management, and business operations and will drive the expansion of BasicFirst’s Sales Team across the country.

Mr. Kapoor is a seasoned professional with a proven track record in local market strategies and programs for the execution of the business. He holds strong business and financial acumen with a deep understanding of the economic drivers of various sized and start-up businesses including experience and success in managing a large P&L budget. Before joining Basic First, he worked with various known brands like Deutsche Quality System, Aircel, Tata Communications Ltd, and Eureka Forbes. Ravi graduated from the University of Delhi, done MDP on Strategic Management & Leadership Excellence from IIM-Rohtak, & Management Development Program on CRM  from IIM– Ahmedabad and Advanced Diploma in Marketing Management from AIMA.

Recently, BasicFirst announced the plans to ramp up its operation in India and overseas markets including the US, UAE, and Singapore, with over 1000 opportunities in the sales team. Furthermore, the startup intends to build on its phygital module through opening 300+ offline Doubt Clearing Facilities for its students in India and abroad, with 15 centers in the UAE and 3 in Singapore. The startup is partnering with schools and coaching institutes to establish doubt clearing facilities, and to date has signed MoUs with 129+ centers in 75+ cities. Additionally, BasicFirst lately hired Mir Hajmiragha as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to set up its technology excellent center in Kirkland, USA, and Bengaluru, India to drive technology innovation in the education sector. The technology center plays an instrumental role in the company's journey to transform learning and teaching pedagogy for students in the digital era.
