Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures hits the bulls eye, again!

Ektaa Kapoor, or ‘The Ratan Tata of Producers’, as called by her influencer friend Freddy Birdy in his review on Balaji Motion Pictures’ latest release ‘Freddy’ starring Kartik Aaryan and Alaya F, streaming now on Disney Plus Hotstar, is proof that this queen of Indian television is at it, again, with her fearless attempts at trying different genres. He also said, "I liked my friend, the director Shashanka Ghosh's new film 'Freddy' a lot. But the next sentence is going to surprise even myself. I liked Kartik Aryan As Freddy. One would imagine that casting Kartik Aryan as a Parsi would be as authentic as Boman Irani as a Zulu princess. But no."

Ektaa has always believed in bringing something new to the table and has always been the pioneer of introducing cult TV serials, web series and movies to the Indian audience.This year proved to be great for this undisputed Producer and Filmmaker with Balaji’s one hit after another with releases like Ek Villain Returns, Dobaaraa, Goodbye and now Freddy, which not only amused the audiences but also amazed them with her creative mindset and a unique vision for the indian entertainment space. This risk only producer Ektaa R. Kapoor can take and make something wonderful like this. In her interview, she rightly quoted, "I want to be known as someone who cannot be put in a box and whose content never stays in one either”.

Freddy, the spine-chilling drama that netizens are calling it, is getting a lot of praise across media and from the audiences. There is no doubt that Kartik Aaryan is on a roll, he has been giving hits after hits. But Alaya F's audiences are impressed and surprised by the kind of evil streak and intensity she has shown is something that left everybody's mind blown.

2023 looks like yet another promising year for Ektaa’s Balaji Motion Pictures. The second instalment of their comedy roller coaster Dream Girl 2 with Ayushman Khurana and Ananya Pandey releases on 7th July 2023. Talking about the film, Ayushmann once said, “I am super stoked about `Dream Girl 2!` This is my second outing with Balaji Motion Pictures and I am thankful to Ektaa that she has carried this franchise forward and made it bigger.”
