Endemol debuts into Bollywood with remake of Traffic!

Endemol, a well known production house famous for shows such as Khatron Ke Khiladi, Fear Factor and Bigg Boss, has decided to enter the film production space with the Malayalam film, Traffic. The production company has obtained the remaking rights of Malayalam film "Traffic', one of the highest-grossing Malayalam projects of this year. Several top film production companies like UTV, Balaji and Venu were in the running to acquire the Hindi remake rights of the project.

Confirming this development, Deepak Dhar, Country Head, Endemol said, "Yes, we have acquired the remaking rights and will start filming some time in July. Other details pertaining to the project will be announced at an appropriate time."

The plot of Traffic revolves around the lives of characters who cross paths at a traffic junction in a city. It is based on a road trip from Kochi to Palakkad, inspired by real-life events of a Chennai-based couple.

The film has been scripted by Bobby Sanjay team. The musical score has been composed by Mejo Joseph, and Sejo John, cinematography by Shyju Khalid, editing by Mahesh Narayanan and the film would be distributed by Magic Frames.

The film has been shot on locations at Ernakulam, Palakkad, Nelliyambathi, Kuttikanam and Coimbatore. The film would reach the theatres as a Christmas release.
