ETV Marathi launches "MAD - Mhanje Assal Dancer"

ETV Marathi has turned up the heat with Marathi television’s bigges dance reality show MAD “Mhanje Assal Dancer”.  “MAD” is all set to emerge as a definitive platform for dancingtalent in Maharashtra and will see children in the age group of 4 years to 14 years vie for the crown of “The Assal Dancer”.  The show willunleash supersonic entertainment with its stellar panel of judges. Ace dancer and choreographer Dharmesh Yelande who has had the nation dance to his steps in the blockbuster movie ABCD – Any Body Can Dance, will for the first time donne the hat of a judge.  Joining this ace dancer in the endeavour will be the diva of Marathi entertainment industryand trained kathak dancer Urmila Kanitkar. Completing the dynamic triad will be reckoned director and national award winner Ravi Jadhav.    Adding spice to the show with the amazing trio will be leading actorSiddharath Jadhav known for his wit and amazing sense of humour. This explosive team of MAD with the talented kids will set ablaze your television screens on ETV Marathi beginning 27th September every Friday & Saturday at 9.00pm.

Ravi Jadhav when asked on being a part of Mhanje Assal Dancer said “I am very excited at being a part of this show and can’t wait for the show to start. Kids are very agile and can move better than most adults. With the meticulous grooming and direction provided on this show, I am sure that the kids will deliver one outstanding performance after another.” On what Ravi would look for in the children he said “I will be looking for performances that are entertaining and display the innocence and agility that children have in abundance”

Speaking on being a part of the show Dharmesh said “I am excited to be on the other side of the table as a judge and that too for a show that will be a platform for kids to showcase their talent. Having once been a contestant myself and experienced the power of this platform, I believe that this is a lifetime of an opportunity for the children to showcase their talent. ”  He further added   “My advice to the children is to be themselves and enjoy their performance which will automatically translate to a great performance.”

Urmila Kanitkar when asked on her debut as a judge said “Kids today are extremely talented and being a part of a show that requires judging them, is a great responsibility.   I look forward to this whole experience and hope to connect with the kids and the viewers.” On asked on what   she would look for in the performances she said“Children are free spirited and uninhibited in their expressions which is what I would also look for in their performance i.e. a perfect mix of energy,   spirit and innocence”

On hosting the show Siddharth Jadhav said “I have an important role to play of being the link between the children and the judges. I hope I can entertain my viewers and connect with them.” On asked on thetalent seen on the show he added “If the auditions are anything to go by, we are in for some amazing display of talent which will surely scorch your television screens”

MAD “Mhanje Assal Dancer” is all set to be the biggest platform for dancing talent in Maharashtra. This blockbuster show will see dance, drama and emotions as never seen before on Marathi television with kids in the age group of 4 – 14 years vying for the title of “The Assal Dancer”. 20 kids selected post the mega audition in front of the 3 Gurus will be divided into 4 teams of 5 contestants each. Assigned a weekly choreographer who will mentor the children, the show will see 1 Solo performance and 1 group act every week. Day 1 will be the elimination episode through audience voting and Day 2 will be the performance episode. The series will culminate with the top 4 contestants battling it out for the title of “The Assal Dancer”.  Upping the entertainment quotient will be “behind the scenes trivia”, giving a sneak peek into the on-ground action.  This super–sonic entertainer that promises to provide a heady mix of dance, dhamaka and dhamaal premiers 27rd September 2013 onwards,every Friday – Saturday at 9.00 pm.
