Eurobest records 4,339 entries from 37 countries!

Celebrating creative excellence in European advertising and communications, Eurobest is Europe's largest annual awards and festival. With all entries having been implemented in Europe, this year, a total of 4339 entries from 37 countries have been submitted across 13 categories, including the new Mobile and PR categories.

The highest number of entries submitted, 835, are from Germany, followed by France with 665,501 entries are from Sweden, Belgium have entered 318 and 307 are from the United Kingdom.

Due to the unexpectedly high increase in the number of entries, four more jurors have been appointed in the Direct and Interactive categories bringing the total number to 77 judges to make up the eight juries. Stefan Wübbe, Creative Director of Kolle Rebbe in Germany and Jan W Skjølberg, Art Director of Dinamo, Norway, will both join the Direct and Promo & Activation jury. Stefan Rasch, Chief Executive Officer of Screenagers, Austria, and Oguz Savasan, Creative Partner of Rabara Digital in Turkey will both join the Interactive jury.

All the entries can be viewed at the Handelskammer in Hamburg, venue of the two-and-a-half-day Eurobest Festival. The winners will be revealed, honoured and celebrated during the Awards Ceremony and After Party that will be held during the evening of Wednesday 8 December at the Curio-Haus.

Other awards to be announced during the Awards Ceremony are Eurobest's Agency of the Year, Interactive Agency of the Year and Network of the Year. IKEA will be honoured with the Advertiser of the Year Award, which will be presented to Claudia Willvonseder, IKEA's Global Marketing Manager.

"It's encouraging for all of us to see a more positive outlook this year versus this time last year. While entries in the more traditional categories continue to decrease, reflecting the ongoing changes within the industry, the newer categories such as Promo & Activation, Integrated, Interactive and Craft, as well as the newly-launched PR category, have seen remarkable growth," says Philip Thomas, CEO of Cannes Lions, organisers of Eurobest. "Eurobest is the place to see all the great creative work coming out of Europe across all the different disciplines and honour the great minds behind the work."

The 3rd Eurobest Festival incorporating the 23rd Eurobest Awards, Europe's largest creative advertising & communications competition, takes place in Hamburg 6-8 December.
