Every aspect of Australia mesmerizes me:Sanjeev Kapoor

Sanjeev Kapoor is the Chef who is looked upon as an inspiration by many of the aspiring chefs. He is the chef who knows how to add twist and flavor to even the most mundane dishes. He is now all set to bring another twist in an arena of cooking.  Launching a new show on his channel Food Food titled ‘Out of the world’ showcasing Australia’s food trail, this show aims to bring viewers out of the conventional kitchen into a world of entertainment, travel and adventure with food.

Talking about the motivation behind bringing Australian cuisine to Indian screens, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor says, “As I was filming for my series ‘Out of Africa,’ I had decided that my next destination for this series will be Australia. I was quite well acquainted with this country as I had travelled here on many occasions and even worked in New Zealand in the beginning of my career. Thus, Tourism Australia, Malaysia Airlines and Toga Group of Hotels came forward to merge their minds with my team and we started on our mission to capture Australia, like never before. From its scenic landscape and pristine beaches to the wine and cheese culture, extensive collection of cuisines and its all-embracing culture code, each and every aspect of this country mesmerized me, which was a reason enough to bring it to the Indian TV screen.”

Starting today, the show will be featured every Friday and will go on for 13 weeks highlighting the finest food and wine experiences available across five Australian states - Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia.

Talking about the  array of dishes, he further adds, “All Australian delicacies like Kipfler Potato Salad, Braised Chickpeas, Gnocchi with Aubergine Sauce, Tuna Ceviche, Beetroot Crumble, Black Carrot Drink, Barbequed Barramundi, Steamed Mussels, Salted Caramel with Popcorn Ice Cream and the likes.

So we candidly ask him about the possibility of long term collaboration and look forward for season 2 of the same, he smiles and replies, “Of course, why not? The whole experience was fun, ecstatic and enlightening and hopes that I feel the same with Season 2.”

Talking about the media mix, he adds, “As of now, it’s going to be aired only on television. However, you can catch the teasers on YouTube as well.”
