Evolok partners with The Indian Express

Pioneering software company Evolok today announces its partnership with IE Online Media Services, which runs and manages India’s leading news brands IndianExpress.com, FinancialExpress.com, Loksatta.com and Jansatta.com, elevating one of India’s biggest news outlets with its suite of next-level engagement and monetisation tools.

The collaboration will see analysts from Evolok join forces with editorial and commercial teams of Indian Express to maximise online content for the prestigious national title, which reaches millions of users a day with breaking news from India and around the world.

Evolok plans to use its innovative set of data-backed features – including subscription management, behavioural monitoring, and audience segmentation – to enhance user experience at a range of online touchpoints for the flagship publication.

The London-based platform will help The Indian Express establish a paywall, manage customer profiles, provide support for social registration, and create a single login feature for friction-free customer journeys – among other tech-led targets. These strategies will increase daily traffic and attract new advertisers to the website, in an ambitious move to ramp up engagement and unlock fresh digital revenue.

“We’re delighted to be collaborating with The Indian Express at this very exciting moment of growth,” says Nina Juss, co-founder of Evolok. “As a respected news website, Indian Express Online attracts millions of page views a month with its award-winning editorial coverage. We’ll use our personalised tech to expand this world-class archive of web content, amplifying its reach and earning potential.”

“Evolok became our partner of choice following a full analysis of subscription vendors available on the market,” adds Sanjay Sindhwani, CEO Digital at Indian Express Online. “We were impressed with the extensive tech features provided by Evolok, and their support throughout the project.”

The Indian Express newspaper was founded in 1932 and launched online in 1996. The newspaper reaches almost 100 Million unique visitors every month and is a preferred digital news destination for readers worldwide looking for unbiased and high quality journalism across politics, business, sports and many more verticals.

Evolok’s world-leading digital subscription platform enables online publishers to leverage their content's appeal and maximise subscription revenues. Its cutting-edge solutions cover everything from identity management to access optimisation and monetisation capabilities.

In teaming up with Evolok, www.indianexpress.com joins a line-up of distinguished global publishers supported by the company’s next-gen apps, including The Telegraph, New Statesman and El Pais.

The Indian Express is the latest in a number of new Evolok adoptees in South Asia, too, as confidence in its software gains pace across the region. Other recent additions to the Evolok family include Lokmat, a regional site with 18 million readers based in Maharashtra and Goa, and Bangladeshi publication Anandabazar Patrika.

The new partnerships will allow people across India as well as around the world access to high-quality content at unparalleled scale, in a safe, seamless, and privacy-compliant environment.
