Ex | Experiences of life that money can't buy: Mitrajit Bhattacharya

If you really believe in fascinating and unforgettable adventures, they are likely to come your way. In a book titled, Life Money Can’t Buy, author  Mitrajit Bhattacharya, Publisher and President of the Chitralekha Group, recounts anecdotes and experiences that money can never buy. 

Bhattacharya brings in eleven astounding stories; from being enchanted by a mermaid frolicking around a yacht in the waters off the coast of Capri to flying a jet in Switzerland, cheering on a game of polo with Maharajas for company to having his own 'wonderland' moment with the Great Wall of China as the backdrop. This book is Mitrajit's expression of the interesting adventures he has encountered while pursuing his assignments.

Mitrajit took time out to pen them for he believed that these life-changing experiences need to be told to an audience which otherwise may be well-travelled but have not taken these journeys. “I am an ordinary man but was fortunate to have the opportunity to live a life where I could experience these extraordinary wonders,” says the debutante writer.

Though not a regular writer, his articles have appeared in several publications in the past. However, the idea of the book came to him when a business magazine recently approached him to do some articles on the luxury world. It then, dawned upon him to compile some selected pieces under one roof and presented in a new avatar. Mitrajit’s expectations from the book are similar to any first time author. He says, “I want to reach to a wide section of readers’ people who can connect my experiences and, may be, take these journeys too.” Though fiction is a genre he does not want to dabble in right now but if he has interesting experiences like these to share in future, he would be come up with his second book.
