Adgully caught up with Amit Gujral, Marketing Head, LG Electronics to know more about this launch and more.

Speaking about the promotional and marketing push for the campaign devised with the lunch of LG G3, he said, “The market is pretty matured to understand what a device has to offer. I don’t think this phone would need any kind of special push as the brand speaks for itself. We have been riding high on our clear cut philosophy that is to bank hard on our products and give what our consumers demand.” He informed that LG shall be looking for a complete 360 degree and experiential marketing for G3.

Looking at the increasingly high number of mobile hand-set launches in the recent past, consumers across geographies are posed with the question of ‘which mobile handset to buy?’ Speaking on LG’s methodology to deal with competition, Gujral said, “Today it is important to give a simple yet differentiated product to the customers. Hence with G3, we have stressed on ‘Simple is the New Smart’. Looking at the demand for a simple and advanced phone we have, in a way, revamped our philosophy from ‘Learning from You’ to ‘Life is Simple’.”

Betting big on G3, LG will release 15,000 limited edition G3 smart phones with the signature of superstar Amitabh Bachchan in the Indian market and few lucky buyers will get the opportunity to actually meet with the legend. Speaking about the kind of market share that LG mobile holds today, Gujral said, “LG mobile aims to clock 10% increase by this year end. G3 would surely help us in achieving the same. LG has always believed in making technology advances and identifying business opportunities through various partnerships with some of the world's leading companies.”

He believes that the smart phone market is on a consistent growth path in India and is all set to touch newer heights in the coming days.  “LG mobiles targets all the price ranges from 5000 to 50000.
